Hey Cruising, I use 2 Zip 100's myself. It takes a few minutes to format each of my Zip 100 discs. I don't know how long the 250's will take to format to be honest. I say, give it an hour, if it is not done formatting by then, you know there is most likely a problem. Also, you should not rely only on ZIP discs. Get yourself a SCSI Hard Drive as well to back up all your sounds to because Zip drives are often very unreliable. Good luck! -s* On 7/20/06, cruising@... <cruising@...> wrote: > > Hi, > > Thanks to lyn and s* !!! > I can read my emaxII external hd on the E4 ! really great ! > so i also tryed another thing : to connect my Iomega Zip 250 on the > EmaxII, > and began to format a cartrige to test it then on the E4. > I started the formatting a quarter of an hour ago, and the lcd of the > emaxII still says > 'format drive #5 > Iomega ZIP 250' > Is it normal to be so long ? > Thanks again > > Cruising > > Le 20 juil. 06 à 21:28, s* a écrit : > > > > What I did originally was, load all my emax 1 sounds into the emax > > 2, then > > save all the emax 1 & 2 sounds to a SCSI device (SCSI HD or ZIP), > > then you > > can connect said device to an EOS sampler and then directly load > > the sounds > > into the EOS sampler.
