Re: emu emax I: Startup disc

So if I understand well you managed to boot your PC in DOS, you
formatted a DD disk with EMX, put an OS on it and your EMAX sampler
still doesn't recognize the disk ?

If that's true, you are in the situation described under "hints" in
my previous message. This means EMX won't be a solution for you.

You should try
- either CopyQM (use one of the ZIP packages in the files section).
In my case this worked fine...
- or install the OmniFlop software from
http://www.shlock.co.uk/Utils/OmniFlop/OmniFlop.htm. Install the
driver, start OmniFlop and license the driver online by
choosing "format" and "Emu EMAX". Then format the disk or use EMXP
v1.92 to format the disk and to install the OS on it.

If none of this helps, you could have a drive problem in your EMAX,
or serious calibration differences. To check this someone will have
to send you a disk by postal mail.
