A reformat isn't necessary, the Emax contains a"copy software" function. It is designed to copy newer OSs onto media (hard drives, floppies) without erasing the bank data. Use this function, it's in Master somewhere, to copy the Emax HD 1.1 OS onto the hard drive and onto any floppies you have that don't have the HD OS on it. Then you should be able to boot to the hard drive and access all the floppies too. I do wonder, have you made sure that the banks are still on the hard drive? If you ran the "hidden" hard drive diagnostics on the hard drive then the hard drive should have been wiped clean.
