Emax

hello, i'm new to this list and i very much appreciate any help i could get
for an Emax i just purchased.  i purchased it broken with the intent to
eventually have it fixed.  it may just need a floppy drive but i was hoping
someone on this list could give me a little insight as to what the LCD
messages mean when i turn on the unit.  basically i turn it on and the LCD
says "Diagnostics" for about 15 seconds and then it says "Loading operating
system" and that's it.  the person i bought it from seems to think that the
floppy is the only problem, however i do not have the operating system disk
nor did he have one either to try.  does anyone on this list know why it
reads "Diagnostics" when i first turn on the unit?  could this mean that
there is more than just a bad floppy drive?  any help would be really really
appreciated!!!!
