Thanks for the reply -- I've started ordering parts, so it's in
process. Haven't seen many readers so far: Intermart seems to have
been bought by SCM, so I'm hoping their readers will work. I'll take
what I find, though. Pity it isn't USB, 'cause those are all over the
place.

Would have been faster to start all this, but had to help with a
wedding  and practice my patience. <whew>
