Emax

hi folks ,  i'm still stuck after booting with the bootdisk 6.22
provided in the files section and using a fat16 formatted 1.44 disk to
contain the image and emaxutil ,  i still get the same message error
in emaxutil  : 
can't read /write the  image 
what can i do now  ,since  i wasn't able to load it from a usb key 
and i only have SATA hard drives and only one floppy drive . did 
anyone managed to do it  with a complete virtual dos system ( using
VMware  )
