Re: Floppy Drives for Emax I SE

2007-11-05 by manicpeter

that's really great to know!!!

I have received my emax in a great condition but it never has been
put through it's paces and the operating mechanism always going back
to the drive can be a bit scary.
also it has been funny with some recycled old dd/sd disks telling
me 'bad disk' etc.

I could buy a lot of new TDK dd discs from ebay but the new ones are
usually thin and flimsy and i used to have issues with TDK on my
MPC60.

what are your experiences regarding discs reliability? which make do
you find most reliable? how much do you (ab)use your emax?

best,
Pete

in a junk pile when my drive gave up the ghost. Make sure you connect
up the cables properly eg. pin 1 on connector to pin 1 on cable, the
power cable should only connect up one way.
