Hey Sorry 

 After reading tristans response,I have better understanding of your 
question.
 If i'm right the SP1200 is also mono so anything going in is 
comiing out fatter.for me even Mono albums sound fatter in terms of 
drums and bass lines.try sampling from albums if you haven't 
already,or try EQing before you sample to raise or lower the sound
you'd like.hope that helps
