Emax

Hello ALL

 I just got my emax se sent to me from home.and i never really
played it to much when i first got it.but the drive seemed to
work.now I keep getting this message. DATA CRC Error   what the
heck does this mean(by the way I just ordered some DS/DD disk)
I hope it's just the disk.
 Also how do I figure out which O.S. I have currently and how
do i upgrade my O.S. once i find out????
