Re: midi sample dump

2008-04-20 by gadgetfiddler

soundforge is pretty much ready to go.
open a sound file in soundforge. Soundforge will send the sample loop
points to emax so go ahead and set the loop points within soundforge
and do whatever effects processing you want. and when you're ready to
send the sample...
1.go to Tools menu
2.select Sampler from Tools menu
3.in Sampler window click Configure
4.select Midi not Scsi
5.select your midi devices (probably mpu-401)
6.select the midi channel your using (channel 1)
7.it also helps to set the sample bias to 15 so when you send the
sample to emax it'll be at key c-1 instead of a-0
8.leave open-loop option unchecked.
9.click OK
and now all you'll have to do is click send in the sampler window and
it'll send the sample to your emax via sds with loop points already
set. you'll have to enable looping with emax but the the points will
be where you set them with soundforge.
