it is easy as hell to do it, you just have to set every 16 track on rec and then hit "rec" press stop directly after and go throug all 16 tracks and set patch number and channel for each track, done! don't remember exacly how i made this in the early 90's but once you've got use to it it is easy as .....yes hell ;=) yes this is the only way you can get the emax to respond multitimbral to all 16 ch

wow that sounds like a pain to use. im not using the sequencer on the
emax. isnt there an easier way to do this?
