Not sure if i understand you ;

the software OS exists only on the disks, as you seem to be aware of.
so you have to copy the OS to your other sound disks, in doing this i 
belive Emax will have to read the Source disk first ( the new SE OS ), 
BEFORE  you insert the destination disk. So first an SE disk, then start 
the Os copy/ format process, wait untill asked for a destination disk,
OR The disk can be broken.
