I just opened up my Emax II rack unit to check the memory configuration (I was "sold" an 8MB unit that appears to be a 4MB unit), and it appears that all of the necessary chips are there to make it an 8MB unit... I pulled the memory expansion info from Emulator Archive, and it appears that the work was done. The only thing that wasn't done was a clipping of the 5 and 7 MB resistors on the daughterboard. I don't want to kill my unit by clipping these, but I can only think that this was not done when it was upgraded. When I look at the daughterboard, all of the chip sockets are occupied. When upgrading, are you supposed to remove those and install new ones? Help... Frank [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
