Plug in a roland type footswitch into one of the pedal sockets on back and then you can choose the function for that jack with Preset Definition | 7 | 6 "Adv Preset". Note that it is saved with each preset so you will have to set it up in each preset. I think Footswitch 1 defaults to Sustain and Footswitch 2 defaults to Adv Preset, but I can't be sure.
