SCSI Help

2002-01-17 by francopz@...

Hello, all..

I just purchased a Syquest EZ135 SCSI drive for my Emax II Rack. I currently
have an internal hard drive installed and assigned to SCSI #5. The Syquest is
set to #4. When I boot up, the system hangs up on #5 (the internal HD), and I
have to boot from floppy. The unit will not recognize the Syquest (it reports
NOT EMAX2 DRIVE), and also not recognize the internal HD. There was an active
terminator supplied with the drive, and it's connected to the Syquest.
Does anybody have any idea what I can to do remedy the problem?
No matter what SCSI ID I assign to the Syquest, I get the same result. I
know that the Syquest is compatiblebecause I''ve heard so many people mention
that the use them.

I look forward to your help...
Frank
