Emax

I own several keyboards, the manual IS easy as pie, but i am starting
to think there might be something wrong with my EMAX II.

I sampled the sound that i want, great.

Then I go to DIGITAL PROCESSING - TRUNCATE, great.  Then I save the
present, it will not save the truncation.

So I keep reading:

"assigning the sampled sound to other portions of the keyboard (SAMPLE
2),"

I select the range that I want, heck ANY range, and it will only sound
on the default range G1...

Anybody willing to guide me a bit, I'd appreciate the time and effort.
 Out of my 3 keyboards, the emax is the only one that's giving me
problems to even use.
