RE: [emax] Filter tuning?

2009-01-07 by Eduardo Saponara

There is a calibration mode and disk, maybe in the files section.

On the plus OS and maybe the others, I think it's master>Special(0) and then the number after the last option in that menu, so if the last menu option is 8, press 9. Then you have to enter a code, which is EMAX in numbers like a telephone text, then you get into the calibration modes. I've tuned my filters this way by ear, and as long as you don't have a a faulty filter chip you should be able to bring it back in line.

Hello everyone..My emax seems to have a *slightly* different filter setting every eighth key played. When there is no filter applied it sounds as it should but when it's on or adjusted to a low setting it's very noticeable. I can live with this I guess but it worries me that there might be a deeper issue which can quickly turn into a costly repair. It's also a little annoying due to it sounding like a reversed note at times.Might anyone know the cause or have a solution for a fix? Thanks in advance!
