Emax

Currently there's no way to transfer complete banks via MIDI sysex 
towards the Emax (I/II), except for the vintage "Sound Designer for 
Emax" Mac software which is capable of doing something like this but 
it only works for Emax-I.
Some members on this board were also trying to build a piece of 
hardware which can "replace" the RS422 ports of the old Mac, and 
which can be connected to a new PC or Mac. Once this is done, it's a 
simple thing to create software for both Windows and Mac which is 
able to do exactly what you're asking for.
But I didn't hear from those guys for some time anymore, so I assume 
their experiments are not successful :-)
As far as I know, Chickensys Translator does not support MIDI 
communication with any sampler. They focus on file- or disk based 
translations (like EMXP) but it's true that there's some delay on 
full support for the Emax-II. As far as I know the current version 
already supports Emax-II in "some way" (not Emax-I).

about EMXP...
