I think the trick with emx might be to use real DOS
with a real FAT16 file system.

I remember it used to work for me with win95, years
ago, but last time I tried it with win98, I had a hell
of a time with corrupt/incomplete banks, etc etc etc.

I don't really have the time to test right now, (or a
proper DOS system with a FAT16 drive) but if someone
would like to a/b with win98+ vs. DOS6.22 and see how
it works, I think that there is a big chance this is
the main thing.....
