Hi, Some information for Emax/Emax II users replacing the LCD. The viewing angle/contrast (it's the same thing in these LCD's) may well need adjusting after you put in a new LCD. On the Emax II the setting is controlled via software and stored permanently in an EEPROM, check out MASTER 9 SPECIAL 3 RECALIBRATE 9 = LCD CONTRAST. In the later Emax I models there is a small preset pot on the digital board behind the cable to the control panel, you have to adjust the preset pot with your finger whilst viewing the LCD - tricky and watch out for the power supply voltages in an opened casing. In early Emax I models the viewing angle is set by two precision resistors in the same place, if you have problems with the viewing angle you'll need to replace these with a preset pot. Hope this helps Rob Thanks! I'll figure out the contrast thing and give it another go on my EMAX I. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
