Emax

Hi all,
I've gotten some nice results with my akai mpc2kxl and emax setup, but my workflow is very limited by the way im currently using them both together. Ive got the two connected via midi- but at the moment im recording sounds from the emax into the mpc because trying to control the emax via the mpc midi seems very limited.

as an example, i cant control velocity, pitch, envelope settings on the emax with the mpc.

can anyone help? where am i going wrong here?
