Well being the unknown factor here and all, i'd check ebay I think there still should be an option to search closed auctions so you can see what these have sold for. That would be a good way to look at the money.
Also if ya do go ebay make sure you are covered on insurance. I just bought an Emax II it
was damaged during shipping. Luckily I got my money back on it because it was shipped fed ex, but I think ups would have tried to pay me $100 on it without extra insurance.

I love my emax se hd, I have hundreds of homemade sample library disks that I made with my old emax(died). I picked up an emax SE HD recently but when I power it on I get the dreaded diagnostics and two light lights up behavior.
My question to the group is how much money would you put into a dead mint emax se hd sampler before you would consider it too much? I am just trying to get a gauge of what others may do in my situation.
Anyone know of a good option for replacing the HD? I would still like to be able to load banks on the fly and use the midi in ports for sequencing at the same time.
