Emax repairs Question

Emax repairs Question

2009-06-07 by Kevin Kelley

I love my emax se hd, I have hundreds of homemade sample library disks that I made with my old emax(died). I picked up an emax SE HD recently but when I power it on I get the dreaded diagnostics and two light lights up behavior.
My question to the group is how much money would you put into a dead mint emax se hd sampler before you would consider it too much? I am just trying to get a gauge of what others may do in my situation.
Anyone know of a good option for replacing the HD? I would still like to be able to load banks on the fly and use the midi in ports for sequencing at the same time.
Thanks for your time in reading and hopefully responding to this post.

2 lights usually mean a bad floppy... or bad connection to the floppy-
does it spin the floppy when you turn it on?

Well being the unknown factor here and all, i'd check ebay I think there still should be an option to search closed auctions so you can see what these have sold for. That would be a good way to look at the money.
Also if ya do go ebay make sure you are covered on insurance. I just bought an Emax II it
was damaged during shipping. Luckily I got my money back on it because it was shipped fed ex, but I think ups would have tried to pay me $100 on it without extra insurance.
