Hi Just to make sure the problem is clear: - I assume that you are using an internal PC floppy drive ? (external ones don't work) - I assume that you are using DSDD disks, not HD ones ? If you are using HD ones, make sure you tape the second "hole"... - When do you get the 89 error in EMXP: while formatting or while writing EMX images ? - Does the PC software (OmniFlop, EMXP) work with disks formatted by your Emax ? - Copying EMX images to an Emax formatted disk can only be done with EMX or EMXP. Copying these files with a common Windows tool like Windows Explorer will not work --> you will get a "unformatted/unknown disk". Installing OmniFlop driver does not mean that any Windows application can start using these Emax disks... ///E-Synthesist --- In emax@yahoogroups.com, "augustoacuna" <augustoacuna@...> wrote: > > Hi there, I recently bought an Emax 1 HD Se. I installed the omniflop disk driver 2.01p, formatted an old new floppy. Then when I try to copy an emx image to the floppy, the drive makes some noises and then a windows error dialog appears saying Unknown disk format blah blah blah ( Cancel, Try Again, Continue). The Emxp returns Errocode 89. > > I formatted the disk using Emax 800kb format and Emax 1024 byte 800kb format.
