Re: [emax] Re: Why does my Emax II sample in mono ?

just sample it in the comp then use exmp to dump sample to disk then you can use a editor to clean up the sample truncat volume maximise and what ever you want to do then use emxp to dump to the disk format of emax

i use most of my samplers as sample playback machines as there is much better capture software and looping utilities on the computer than there is in the sampler

then i use the sound synthesis of the emax or what sampler i am using to get the flavour of the synths sound onto better quality samples if you want them gritier then sample them in 8bit on the comp they still sound way clearer than sampling through the machines especialy some machines have crap adc before the pcm converters as on the korg dss1 and the mirage

It sounds strange to me. I have a 2212 keybooard (2mb) and it samples in Stereo Mode.

Go to Sample module, and check if the LCD shows "CALIBRATING ADC". It is said the emaxII can sample in stereo if you get that message.

Try to read the revision board for the main PCB for checking with other users, maybe it has got to do with it.

Next time I open mine I will check the board rev and so.
