I had a G4 MDD with no floppy. To move it over to disk, I got a USB floppy
(which does work in OS X- at least up to 10.5) $5 at my local computer
recycler.
I then copied it to floppy, and also got the appropriate Stuffit Expander
for that OS version and put it on floppy (found at some old archive, but I
found it using google...nbd), then loaded it onto my old Mac.

It really was that simple.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
