I don't have the service manual, but it could be a sub scanner cpu problem. Did your emax freeze and did you have to reboot it because of it?. Altough the Sub scanner cpu tends to fail on the whole keys, it could be a damaged area only. Scanner chip is named IM-386 R1125 (a custom 6502 rockwell processor). ALso look for some PCB damaged traces, it may be any cut trace too.
