which MPC are u using, the 60/3000 or the later versions?  also when you ran
the test, did you run hi hats, kick, snare, and toms all at once?  this is
really interesting, i guess my Emax and the other one i used to use are/were
both screwed up.

yeah when i have a free minute i'll send you a midi file for you to test
(plus an audio file showing how sloppy the timing can get)...
