You won't be sending any actual sounds to the MC-500. The MC-500 records the
incoming MIDI data like note on/off, velocity, wheel movements. To get started you
should be first try to hook the MIDI IN and Out to the respective jacks on the MC-500.
Remember the OUT of the Emax goes to the IN of the MC-500. Also you will want to go
into Master 9 - 1 (or is it 0?) where you can set the MIDI channel the Emax will send and
receive on. MAke sure you set the MC-500 to transmit the MIDI data you record back on
the same channel. From there try to start recording what you play, avoid using
Supermode until after you get the basics down with that set-up.
