I have 2 external cases. They works just fine and supply power.
The CD's are spinning and there's power.
I have 2 Quantum Harddrives that I have tested with and they work fine in both the external cases.

Could you upload an image of your jumper settings?
Or write them down here... so I know at least they are the same.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
