Hi, Thanks very much. Apart from tightening up the vocals (isn't it amazing what you can do with a modern DAW?), the only change I made was to increase the reverb level. Since several tracks were being sent to the same reverb, this is subtle, but quite noticeable. But I think you definitely have an individual vocal style and this recording sounded very nice. Might also be "my imagination" but it sounded like you remixed the balance of some things to make it sound more commercially viable (which I liked). Putting FX on snare is always good, and I also liked the middle eight synth sound used throughout - maybe you boosted it or put more verb on it, I don't know. Anyway, whatever you did it's working. > > Good job! > > > --- In emax@yahoogroups.com, "dbaum0000" <daniel@> wrote: > > > Hi, > > > > Thanks! I have in the past been guilty of sounding too much like Depeche Mode, but this time, I agree, it does have a bit of an individual sound to it. Anyway, I DID buy my Emax to sound like DM :) > > I have uploaded a new version, with improved vocal timing; it was pretty shoddy in places. > > D. > > >
