yes and no you need an oscillascope and a logic anyliser to make sure all the logic chips are working properly and the oscilascope for testing waveforms and power functions i can help a bit when things are specific like with the control off the filters recently were i said it was the cv dac that was at fault 

but he had full sound just no control with yours it could be various things there a lot of logic chips for the control of the analog voice board but also theres the 12bit dacs that could be at fault i would need to have the machine for testing to

diagnose properly

  How would a synth tech diagnose it? Is it something I could try to do with a voltmeter?
