So now it works... i got lucky... I had looked inside before and nothing seemed loose, but I decided to take off the analog board to look underneath it at the traces and solder points and when I reconnected the analog board I noticed I could push the connector farther than it had been on before! Thanks for the help though guys I guess the lesson is always check all the connectors thoroughly..disconnect and reconnect! whoot whoot!
