Oops i deleted my post(two posts below>>), but also was wondering if the
  cheaper cf reader
  <http://www.psism.com/psiiic.htm <http://www.psism.com/psiiic.htm> >
also from psi will work. Also
thinking about trying my mirage drive with it since the prev owner used
his eps drive with it. Although everything must wait until the new lcd
  :( much appreciated though!

  to solder.

want a flash drive so that it doesn't keep accessing the floppy while
  I'm using it.

i just wanted to know if it's possible ever to use a cf card drive with
it(it's a model 1000). the board versions are:

and also there is no lcd screen since he accidentally broke it and then
removed it when he replaced all the led lights(i did the research here
and know which replacement to get from rs). otherwise it looks mint and
  i only paid $80!

have to remove the keys and a few other things to get at it. i noticed
some weird red contraptions underneath where the lcd must be soldered
and was wondering what they are. looks like some sort of clips or
something... maybe i don't have to solder just stick the pins in and
fasten the clips?(if in fact that's what they are)
