all of this just to save 40 dollars by not going to scsiforsamplers! the cf drives there are 'currently' $139 but they also sell an mpc 2000xl cf drive for $69 since it the mpc uses ide already. therefore there is no acard 77xx type connection in it and doesn't cost twice as much, but, he offers an upgrade kit if you have an mpc with the cf drive already you can get this kit and it (if i'm guessing correctly) will contain the acard bridge. for some reason i'm thinking this drive will work with emax with the 'kit'. 

but i'd have to pretend i have an mpc that's the only catch...lol

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
