You've done some mods for me years ago on a 606 and 303. http://www.eprelectronics.com/store/html/Products/E-mu-Keyboards-PARTS/E-mu-Emax/Sony-Floppy-Disk-Drive--94.html You should be able to use any floppy drive that has a selectable ID's, but they are hard to find. I think 95% of floppy drives in circulation were shipped with the ID fixed, and is non selectable. But they're out there, you just have to look on Ebay and computer stores that half old parts laying around. You can also get one from EPR at the above link. I think they're all gonna have a small gap at the bezel and Emax body, but if it works then don't sweat it. People are using other drives in their too such as Compact Flash, etc. Hope that helps..
