Any PC type power cord is fine, heaven knows everytime I move my rig I get confused 
on which power cords got to my PC, OB-8, or Emax II. They are all interchanganble 
though.

As far as the blinking it's definitely either the floppy drive or it just can't read the disk. 
Does it ever report "NOT Emax DISK" or "Can't Read Floppy" errors, if not there is a 
good chance the floppy unit is bad.
