Adam,

I honestly think your Emax-II has a problem.
- You have tested the Teac CDROM (mentioned on this site) and it didn't workon your Emax-II... while it works perfectly on my Emax-II as you know.
- Now you have tested the Plextor and it doesn't work neither... while this one also works perfectly on my Emax-II. I have just tested it on each of my four Emax-II samplers and it worked well on all of them.
The jumpers are set as follows: 
1 - on (prty)
2 - on (term)
3 - off
4 - on (block)
5 - off (?)
The drive is a November 2000 edition in external case.
