ted have you had any luck in reading pal chips as i know thats the reason why the memory upgrades for the emax2 is due not being able to get the pal chips

do you know any body been able to create new ones

  that chip is a programed pal chip by emu unless you can get emu to give you the bin file for it so you could burn your own you will be out of luck unless you scavange 1 from another board which will make that board useless

  Ok, well I have replaced both CD4028 chips (IC11, IC12), but no difference, same fault.

  Looks like the scanner chip *is* partially faulty?

  Also, the 'Preset Management' LED is lit during startup, apparently this means the scanner chip isn't present?

  Anyone got any last ideas?
