I could be wrong but I had an HD and a scsi zip (ID 5 or 6) and when my HD would stop spinning (often) it would not boot from the zip. it could be something I did wrong, but I don't think the emax will boot since you always have to go into the scsi select to select the scsi ID of the zip. Upon boot I think it always defaults to zero, HD or no HD. Please someone correct me if I am wrong. I have done all of that - format, copy OS from floppy using the Plus OS, downloaded the addendum - but it still won't boot or even try to load the OS for editing from the SCSI drive. Is there a step I'm missing? Something that tells the unit to look to the SCSI device for the OS? I can tell the Emax to look to whichever SCSI ID with the Plus transpose SCSI ID selection feature. But so far, it only seems to work for saving and loading. I know I've read somewhere that the Emax (it's the first Emax, not the 2) can only boot from SCSI ID 0. I would like for that to be untrue.
