if you left pin 3 disconected how are you getting the angle
also if you took away the backlight connectio how are you getting the 5v for the led
also led displays are much thicker than the original displays
by about 7mm to 9mm thicker

Subject: [emax] oled display
just in case anyone is interested I purchased a WEH001602A-Y from rapidonline.com
i bought a pin header off ebay and soldered it on to the display plugged it in
and it worked. set me back 25 gbp in total and i didnt have to cut away at anything.
it just fitted straight in as the dimensions are exactly the same.
left pin 3 disconnected and desoldered the old backlight connecter and inverter.
the new display has 16 pins but you just leave 15-16 disconnected.
I hope this helps anyone wanting to upgrade their screen.
Thanks to everyone who supplied info before hand.
