Re: another emax 1 + CF reader problem

2011-12-14 by mcnik_k

Just tried with another version of the SE HD OS on floppy, same problem.

I did just double check all connections and jumpers. Jumpers set as per http://djtbs1.wordpress.com/2010/10/04/some-install-related-pics/pcd-50b-in-an-emax-1-rack-note-the-stripe-position-on-the-cable-and-there-is-only-1-jumper-to-set-termination/ , SCSI cable pin 1 to connection 1 (to the rear) on digital board, and pin 1 on SCSI card reader.

Tried with 256MB card, no luck, tried with 128MB card, no luck... you think the cards are too big? I have some smaller ones kicking about *somewhere* round here! Haven't looked at them for years.

I have an old computer with a SCSI card in it, I presume it will have an internal connection I can use with the same cable if I need to update the firmware. Found possible link to updated firmware at bottom of thread at http://www.emusonacid.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=3637

Don't want to mess about flashing firmware though unless that is really the problem!
