you can do it like that if you want but you will need more slack on the cable plus also it will be hard for you to insulate
plus you will have a mass of wires under the lcd pcb
but if you are happy to do it that way then fine
you are the one doing the work and its you that has to fit the lcd panel back to the pcb
having fitted vfd and lcd and oled modules to over 100 synths and samplers im just pointing out the pit falls

I would like to kick the pcb board out of my window. Just to safe my reputation. I'll go to the university next year and usually english is one of my best subjects but I simply can't handle this description very well...
