yes you can solder to them pins if you want thats your choice

the pin order is usually from behind when your soldering

on the keyboard you solder from the front so that the pin order is backwards

thats why i said place your old lcb on the pcb the numbers are on the front of the lcd

and you will see how the pins are in the sockets

so that you wire correctly

  So I'm annoyed now by my comprehension problems.

  It's very kind that jammie emma tries to help me so much, but I guess he's a few levels above my comprehension of microelectronic language.
