the pcb50b fits to the scsi connector the slim floppy fits to the slimfloppy convertor jm215a with the correct wiring shown on teds page
cf cards can oly be formated to 512mb for emax 2 so get 512 cards other wise you are wasting card space as seeing that 512mb cards are cheaper i would but those for the emax2 emax 1 only formats to 20mb so no piont in buying anything above 32mb they sell for about £2-4 so are cheap as chips as 10 dd disks will cost £8-10 and you get 36 banks on 1 cf card
ps any one buying banks of net or ebay where they say 5 zipp 100 disk with full EII library on is talking rubbish
as you only get 36 banks on 1 zip 100 cart
there are 400 floppy library files just from northstar
and on the other EII cdromms theres also a lot of images
on the emax2 you are limited to 100 banks so if you have 100 EII banks on a emax2 drive it will use up the hole hd even though its only 400k to a EII bank image

Subject: [emax] Re: Part List for CF Card Upgrade
Ok thanks,
1) by mentioning soldering wires and stuff like that you mean probably the process which is well-described by Ted Summers' website?
2) The final conncetion will look like that?:
PCD50b -> modificated JM215a slim floppy converter -> EMAX floppy
connection
[Why isn't it connected to the faster(?) harddrive scsi conncetion?]
3) Then I have to make sure that the the cf cards' size doesn't exceed 1gb (I read it somewhere) and are version 1 or 2?
Thanks for answering!
Freddy
