>>>i agree with this, you are one of the top experts on this, and have been helpful. that said, following your advice and recommendations hasnt really worked for me-- in fact, now i've gone backwards and i have an emax that wont even boot. i've likely fried the floppy controller on the emax and may have damaged the scsi bus as well. because im persistent/stubborn, i still hope to bring it back. 


> A standard 34 pin floppy does not have DS0 (drive select 0). So unless you know exactly how to modify the cable that drive isn't going to work.
