Many thanks, I'm going to try the pre SE OS system first. Is there a version I should use in the files section?

Your help is much appreciated.

you need pre se os or upgrade it to se os

the upgrade se image is in the files section

if you decide todo the scsi upgrade you will need to upgrade the os to se first

you revision board can be made into scsi version

Hi,

I've just purchased an Emax. I'm not sure which model I've got though. I was told it was a Series 1. There is a floppy drive but no HD that I can see, and it doesn't say SE anywhere.

It came with two discs with the operating system on - Emax HD OS 1.1 - but when I put them in the drive doesn't recognise them. It starts spinning and then says "Disk Not Formatted".

Having read some of the group posts I'm guessing I'm using the wrong operating system.

I opened the Emax up and got the following off the board - EMAX CPU (1986). PC327. Version 2 REV C.

Does anyone have any idea which operating system I should be using?

Cheers,

Bill
