Re: Emax 1 SE Plus (non HD) SCSI Zip Drive Interface Problem

2012-10-04 by loricruzer

Hi Jammie,

First of all, thanks for taking time to address my problem. I understand everything you wrote, except the main issue is that the Emax will not let me change the SCSI ID number.

When I boot the unit with the 1.0 OS , then push and hold the 'Transpose' button, it displays SCSI 0 , then I try to change that number , Emax only responds to the keypad buttons when try to change the ID (I also tried the slider and the +/- keys), then says 'wait a moment' , but the display still shows 0 , no change.
The Emax acknowledges the request, says 'wait' but does not make the change, in a few seconds return to SCSI display, still shows SCSI 0.

Is there something wrong internally or am I doing something wrong? When I go to 'Master' , I did verify that the OS is 1.0 .

Please help if you can.

Also, since I am committed to keeping my Emax, I should get on the waiting list for the Oled thing but I'm not sure what it is ? I'll go back and read the posts regarding it. Can you briefly tell me what it is ? I think that once I get out of the woods with my Emax , I might need it down the line ?

Thanks again,
Lori
