use a continuity meter with a ring sound

plus you should get near zero ohms resistance as its a small short cabble

you need to tape doen the cable so it does not move

its also better if you remove the old solder and clean the joint with some solder brade with none clean flux

then place the cable next to the pin tape in place and solder

with a 0.5mm solder as if its to thick you will over solder it

then solder together making sure it flows properly onto the pad and pin and cable

repeat for the other 3 connections

bell out with continuity meter to make sure you have a circuit if it rings loud and clear you have a good joint connection between both point

Having trouble soldering wires to a JM215A. Are there any tricks like using flux? The areas involved are so tiny I bought a magnifying glass but still having trouble.

Also when completed should I test the pin outs with a multimeter? What should I be looking for?

  Thanks! Jeff
