if you do it that way you will only get 4 note poly
what i do is use the same sample for layer 1 and 2 use the sme filter settings and vca settings then only hard pan left and right if you do it this way you get full 8 note poly but if each layer has different filter and vca settings it will be treated as 2 seperate samples only giving 4 note poly
use emxp it the quickest way of doing it unless you have sounddesigner2

Subject: [emax] dual voice mode
Hello,
I have a question regarding the dual voice mode.
I'm on the os3.2.
I'm sending some samples via midi sample dump, some of the samplez are
stereo sample, therefore they are transmitted as two separated voices,
automaticaly assign on primary voices.
I would like to assign both sample on the same note and pan them left and
right, i thought i could do this by coying the voice from the primary of
sample one to the secondary of sample two, but it seems impossible to
assign them this way.
Anyone knows a way of achieving this?
Maybe there's another of doing this without using dual voice mode?
Best
K
